Leaving Mealime? Keep the recipes you cook.
Mealime announced it will close on 21 October 2026 and delete account data when it does. Its own recipes move to Meals Hub; the recipes you wrote yourself do not. Here is how to keep both.

What Mealime announced
- Mealime's recipes
- They continue in Meals Hub, inside Albertsons grocery apps such as Safeway and Vons, and on the web.
- Your Mealime account
- Mealime says it will delete personal data when the app shuts down. That includes favorites, meal plans, and recipes you added yourself. None of it moves to Meals Hub on its own.
- Mealime Pro
- Mealime says Pro subscribers will not be charged again before it closes.
Bring a Mealime recipe into Daily Simmer
Every Mealime recipe on mealime.com has its own page. Paste that page's link and Daily Simmer saves the recipe to your library.
Open the recipe on mealime.com and copy its address. It starts with mealime.com/recipes/ or app.mealime.com/recipes/.
In Daily Simmer, paste the link and import it.
Check the ingredients and steps. The recipe stays in your library after Mealime's site goes offline.
What comes across
- The title, ingredients, and steps, in Mealime's order
- Amounts for oil, salt, and spices, taken from the steps that use them
- Servings and cooking time
- The photo, copied into Daily Simmer when it can be. If the copy fails, the recipe is saved without one.
- A link back to the Mealime page
What to check
- A staple used in two steps is listed twice, once with each amount.
- Package sizes such as “1 small pkg” stay as Mealime wrote them.
- Mealime lists cooking time only, so there is no separate prep time.
What stays behind
- Your favorites list, meal plans, and grocery lists
- Dietary preferences and notes
- Recipes with no page on mealime.com, and links copied from my.mealime.com
- Your Mealime Pro subscription
There is no bulk import: each Mealime recipe comes across from its own link. The free plan holds up to 25 recipes, and Cookbook and Plus have no recipe limit.

Recipes you wrote yourself in Mealime
Daily Simmer can't import these directly. They live only in your Mealime account, not on Mealime's public site, so Mealime deletes them when it closes. To keep them:
Open each one in Mealime and copy the ingredients and steps into a note or document, or print it.
Add it to Daily Simmer by typing it in, or import a photo of the printout.
You can also ask Mealime for a copy of your data at privacy@mealime.com. Its privacy policy promises an answer within one month, which may arrive after Mealime closes.
Questions about leaving Mealime
Is Daily Simmer connected to Mealime?
No. Daily Simmer is an independent recipe app. It is not affiliated with Mealime, Albertsons, or Meals Hub.
Can I import all my Mealime favorites at once?
No. Daily Simmer imports one Mealime link at a time and can't read your favorites list. Mealime's own recipes stay available in Meals Hub, so start with the ones you cook most.
Will imported recipes disappear when Mealime closes?
No. The ingredients and steps are stored in Daily Simmer, so the recipe still opens after Mealime's site goes offline, and so does its photo if it was copied at import. Only the link back to Mealime may stop working.
What if a Mealime link won't import?
Some Mealime recipes have no public page, and links copied from my.mealime.com need a Mealime sign-in, so Daily Simmer can't read them. Look for the recipe on mealime.com/recipes, or copy the ingredients and steps and add the recipe by hand.
Does Daily Simmer plan meals the way Mealime does?
Not the same way. Mealime picks meals from its own catalog and builds the grocery list for you. In Daily Simmer you plan the week with recipes from your own library, then turn that plan into a shopping list.
Bring the first one home.
Paste a link, snap a card, or start from an idea. Your account comes when you save.
